Teen in critical condition after being struck by car

UTICA, NY (WKTV) - One boy is injured after being hit by a car while riding his bike on Kossuth Avenue near South Street, according to Utica Police.

Police said the accident happened around 9:15 Monday night. They said the boy, who is 13 years old, was hit by a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Cynthia Fuentes, 39, of Utica.

The boy was rushed to St. Elizabeth Medical Center by the Utica Fire Department. He was later airlifted to SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse in critical condition.

The Utica Police reconstruction team was on the scene during the overnight hours and the investigation is still ongoing.
