TRENTON, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says four people under age 21 were found to be in possession of alcohol during a traffic stop in Trenton.

Deputies say just after 1:00am Friday, they stopped a car driven by Peter W. Kuchler, 18, of Prospect that had been clocked at 89 mph in a 55mph zone on State Route 365.

During their investigation, all four people in the car were in possession of alcoholic beverages. The passengers were Daniel A. Polce, 20 of Remsen, Katie M. Engstrom, 18 of Stittville and Laken N. Sullivan, 18 of Remsen.

All four were arrested and issued tickets for possession of alcohol under the age of 21. Kuchler was also ticketed for speeding.

Investigators say they had attended Holland Patent School's Senior Ball several hours earlier and were looking for a party to go to. They add none of them had consumed any of the alcohol they had at the time of the stop.

They are due back in Trenton Town Court at a later date.
