Alexander Hamilton Inn finds new occupant in Alexander Hamilton Institute

By Dave Dellecese

CLINTON - The Alexander Hamilton Inn in Clinton will soon be housing a new occupant - the appropriately named Alexander Hamilton Institute.

On Monday, September 17, Constitution Day, the official announcement is expected to come, ending months of speculation as to who would be taking over the site.

The center started in 2006 as a part of Hamilton College, but fell apart a month later. Some of those founders involved were determined to see the project through, and carried on.

Now independent from the college, the center's mission will be to create intellectual products for educational institutions in both upstate New York and across the country.
