Sauquoit man arrested again for driving while intoxicated

By Laurie Benedict

According to New Hartford police, Scott Zimmer was found passed out behind the wheel of his pick up truck early this morning. He refused to take a breath test.

This isn't the first arrest for Zimmer; he has two prior DWI convictions. Zimmer was also convicted of leaving the scene of a fatal accident in 2000.

It was never medically determined if Zimmer was drunk at the time he struck and killed Joan Foley because he fled the state and police didn't catch up with him for a couple of days.

Zimmer is due back in court on October third, for his most recent arrest.
