Imagine climbing nearly 30,000 feet into the sky.

That's Mount Everest.

Few have made the monumental trek and those who have, have amazing stories to tell.

Conrad Anker is a renowned climber and author. He is credited with finding George Mallory, an explorer of the 1920's. Mallory's body was missing for more than 75 years until Anker found it while climbing the mountain.

Tonight, he's paying a visit to Hamilton College to speak publicly about his adventures.

"Climbing Everest is basically a selfish pursuit," Anker said. "And I'm not creating new software or making new medicine that will make life better, but it does keep alive the spirit of adventure and challenge and the metaphor of climbing any mountain relates into life. That when you want to do something you need good planning."

If you are interested in hearing him speak you can head to Hamilton College Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

All events are free and open to the public.
