9th Annual Build-A-Bike brings hundreds to New Hartford Shopping Center

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - Hundreds of volunteers came to the New Hartford Shopping Center for a special event, Sunday.

The event was the 9th Annual Build-A-Bike, which was created by Utica Safe Schools in order to provide kids, who can not afford a bike, get one of their own without the high costs.

Last year, this event collected 772 bikes to donate to children, and they hope to top that this year.

To donate a bike to the cause, you may visit the Drop-off center behind the Save-A-Lot in the New Hartford Shopping Center.
