UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The man accused of shooting an Oneida County Sheriff's Deputy during a bank robbery this summer got a new lawyer on Thursday.
Brian Brown's attorney, Ed Kaminiski, told the judge that their relationship had totally broken down, and that Brown had no confidence in him.
The judge granted Kaminski's request to be relieved of the case and assigned Brown a new attorney. Brown and the new attorney are due back in court November 22, at which time a trial date is expected to be set.
Brown is accused of robbing Bank of America in Utica in May and NBT Bank in Rome in July. He's accused of shooting Oneida County Sheriff's Deputy Michael Burger after the NBT robbery.
