SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WKTV) - Protesters turned out at Syracuse University on Monday to show support for the two men who have accused SU Assistant Basketball Coach Bernie Fine of misconduct.

Fine is accused of inappropriate contact with two ball boys.starting in 1983.

The small group was led by a New Jersey-based advocacy group for victims of child abuse and is calling on SU Coach Jim Boeheim to apologize for comments they say were insensitive to the accusers.

"Jim Boeheim needs to be held responsible by the chancellor of this university to change his tone and to apologize to Bobby Davis and Michael Lang for calling them liars, and telling them what they are saying is not true and for intimidating other possible victims," said Reverend Robert Hoatson of the group Road to Recovery.

Protesters say they plan to be at Madison Square Garden when the Syracuse basketball team plays there later this week.
