NEW BERLIN, N.Y. - The U.S. Small Business Administration announced it has selected dairy manufacturer Agro Farma, the maker of Chobani yogurt, as one of its SBA 100 companies.

The SBA 100 list features 100 businesses that have created at least 100 jobs since receiving SBA assistance in the form of capital, contracting, counseling or investment.

Agro Farma, maker of Chobani-brand yogurt, has a production facility in New Berlin.

The company benefited from an SBA 504 loan when it was founded in 2005. With fewer than 50 employees when Chobani first hit store shelves in 2007, Agro Farma has grown to now employ about 670 people, according to the SBA.

Webster-based Datrose, which has an office in Endicott, and Tastefully Simple, which has more than 22,000 consultants in the Binghamton region and across the country, also made the list.

Datrose provides staffing services, accounts payable automation and document management services, the SBA said. Tastefully Simple is a direct sales company featuring easy-to-prepare food and gifts.
