(WKTV) - Officials with the American Red Cross of the Mohawk Valley say their organization has helped 28 people from the Michael Walsh Apartments after a Monday morning fire.

"We worked with CENTRO bus," said Michael Schwartz, of the American Red Cross. "CENTRO bus provided us a bus to keep people warm and sitting down and comfortable."

The American Red Cross is also taking care of the immediate needs of families that were most affected by the fire, including meeting with families at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center and Faxton St. Luke's.
