Analysis: NY's Senate control up for grabs again

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - A remake of the 2009 bold struggle for power within New York's Senate is now playing, and New Yorkers have a big stake in this drama.

Whether its plot mirrors the productive, if messy, politics portrayed in "Lincoln" or the gangland of "Lord of the Flies" won't be clear for weeks.

Hanging in the balance are issues including business tax breaks, tighter spending, and making job creation a top priority. Those are issues pushed by the current Republican majority.

Democrats advocate raising the minimum wage, public financing of campaigns and tighter gun control.
