Annette Funicello visits WKTV
UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - As the Utica area mourns the loss of hometown girl Annette Funicello, those at WKTV are remembering the time she visited the station. The visit took place around the year 1960, when Annette was about 18 years old. At the time, she was part of Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color TV show. She was interviewed by Scott Avery, an anchorman for WKTV at the time. She was born in Utica in 1942, moving to California with her family when she was four years old.
