Annual Regional Science Fair brings hopeful high schoolers to UC

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Utica College held the 36th Annual Regional Science Fair, featuring 80 local winners, Saturday.
The student who participate in the even range from grades 7-12, and present their findings in more than 15 different science and engineering categories.
Prizes for the winner ranged from tuition scholarships to trophies, and even cash.
However, the grand prize winner gains a two-year half scholarship to UC.
The Senior Level grand champion for Saturday's event was Suveer Desai, an 11th grader from New Hartford High School, with her project on "Flow Rate vs. Magnetic Field."
The rest of the winners are as follows:
Senior Level runner-up: Sylvia Kryszczuk, 9th grade, Whitesboro High School
Junior Level grand champion: Eva Borton, Clinton Middle School
