Applebee's wall memorabilia going up for auction to make way for remodeling

By WKTV News

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - One local Applebee's Restaurant is selling off its memorabilia to make way for a new look.

"The restaurant is close to ten years old and they are looking at remodeling the restaurants within," says General Manager Darick Decker.

The proceeds from the sale of the artifacts will go to Make a Wish Foundation.

Applebees has been working with Make a Wish Foundation for the past few years, so Decker says it was an easy decision to make.

The artifacts going up for auction include different types of local and national sports team memorabilia, celebrity pictures and photos and some old signs from beer companies.

They've been taking bids for the past few weeks.

Mostly, Decker says, people seem to be happy to have the opportunity to bid on the goods.
