UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - New York State Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi and former Utica Mayor David Roefaro are backing Democrat Dan Lamb, who is challenging current Congressman Richard Hanna for the newly redistricted 22nd Congressional District.

Lamb was on hand to accept the endorsement, saying that Roefaro, Brindisi and several Utica Common Councilmembers have helped him gain a strong understanding of the Mohawk Valley's challenges throughout his campaign.

"Over the past six months I've gotten to know Dan Lamb as someone who will be a true friend to the Mohawk Valley and the City of Utica," said Brindisi. "I know he is someone who will stand up for the middle class, fight to bring jobs and opportunity back to this region, and defend important programs like Medicare and Social Security. Dan has my support and endorsement, and I look forward to working with him when he is elected on November 6."

"Utica needs a champion in Congress who knows how to get things done," said former Mayor David Roefaro. "Dan Lamb has a record of helping small cities that I know will serve us well."

Lamb has spent the past 15 years as a Senior Aide to retiring Congressman Maurice Hinchey in Ulster County. Prior to working for the Congressman.
