EPHRATAH, N.Y. (WKTV) - The search continued on Wednesday for the body of Frank Amerosa, the third person involved in a plane crash in Fulton County on Friday.

Amerosa is missing but presumed dead following the crash that also killed his wife, Evelyn, along with the pilot.

The NTSB will take the fuselage, along with other debris found in nearby fields and in the woods for testing and there is no word at this writing on what caused the twin engine aircraft to crash.

Wednesday marked Day Five of the search for Amerosa, of Utica. On that day, the Fulton County Sheriff's Office released photos of the plane being pulled from a reservoir in Ephratah.

The Amerosas were flown out to a Boston area hospital earlier in the day Friday on an Angel Flight, a volunteer-based service that transports ill patients to appointments out of town. Mr. Amerosa was suffering from brain cancer.

The bodies of Mrs. Amerosa and the pilot, John Campbell of Connecticut, were recovered shortly after the plane crashed into the reservoir off of Route 29.

Mrs. Amerosa was a long-time employee of the Masonic Care Community in Utica. Mr. Amerosa was a retired truck driver.
