Autopsy of Rome shooting victim confirms multiple wounds
ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - Autopsy results confirm that 50-year-old Charles DiGristine died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to Rome Police.
A roommate called 9-1-1 early Tuesday morning and is being treated as a witness, not a suspect.
Around 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26, officers arrived at 115 Lawrence Street and found DiGristine inside unresponsive.
Police say that DiGristine suffered multiple gunshot wounds, but that there were no signs of forced entry into DiGristine's apartment, leading police to believe this was not a random act.
Police have not yet identified a suspect in this case.
Members of the public are asked to call Rome Police at 315-339-7715 if they have any information.
