Bicyclist breaks ankle after hitting pick-up truck

MOHAWK, N.Y. (WKTV) - West Main Street in Mohawk was closed for nearly an hour as police investigated a car-pedestrian accident involving a person on a bicycle.

According to officials, the cyclist was riding down Warren Road and was attempting to turn right onto West Main Street when they were not able to stop and struck the side of a pick-up truck that was traveling west on Main Street.

The cyclist suffered a broken ankle and his bike was damaged.

The road was closed due to officials conducting an investigation.
