Bill Worden to retire from WKTVUTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - After more than 35 years as lead anchor at NewsChannel 2 and nearly 50 years in broadcasting, Bill Worden announced Thursday that he will retire from WKTV at the end of November. Bill is one of the longest-serving local news anchors in American television history. Worden made the announcement live on NewsChannel 2 at Six. He said, “I treasure my years with WKTV and the people I have been honored to work with. I was blessed to be able to work with some of the original members who were still there when I started.” Concerning his departure, he simply says, "It's time to do this." Changes to NewsChannel 2's anchor lineup will be announced next week. |
