ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Fastrac at 600 Erie Blvd. in Rome was closed overnight after a car crashed into the doors of the store Thursday night.

It happened just before 9 p.m.

Rome Police say there were customers in the store when it happened, but no one was hurt.

Jason Stozal, 39, of Blossvale was issued traffic tickets.

He says the floor mat in his car got stuck causing the gas pedal to be pushed down and the vehicle to accelerate.

The store is expected to re-open at some point today.
