(WKTV) - A boil water advisory has been issued for portions of southeast Utica and the Town of Frankfort, the Mohawk Valley Water Authority said.

Streets affected include:

* Albany Street, from Buckley Pool to Pond Lane

* East Park Road

* East Park Court

* Parkview Drive

* Buckley Road

* Hillside Road

* Pinnacle Drive

* Portal Road

* Proctor View Drive

* Floral Court

* Floral Drive

* Rolling Hills Drive

* Wildwood Ridge

* Sunflower Circle

The boil advisory is the result of repair on a pressure regulator on Albany Street near Pond Lane. After restoration of water service, the advisory will be in affect for a minimum of 48 hours, or until tests show the water is free from contamination.

Residents are advised to boil water for at least two minutes before using it for drinking and cooking. Customers are asked not to use any water that appears cloudy or discolored especially hot water. Customers should also avoid washing clothes in discolored water, since it may contain sediments that could permanently stain laundry.
