Boil advisory issued for parts of Little Falls

(WKTV) - A boil water advisory has been issued for parts of Little Falls, officials with the City of Little Falls said.

The advisory applies to East Gansevoort Street between Jackson Street and Salisbury Street; Garden Street between North William Street and Waverly Place; North William Street between Main Street and East Gansevoort Street; East Main Street between North William Street and Waverly Place; Salisbury Street between North William Street and East Gansevoort Street; Burwell Street between Alexander Street and Salisbury Street; Waverly Place between East Main Street and Burwell Street.

According to officials, a water main broke around 6 a.m. The City of Little Falls Water Department is making the repairs to the system. Because of the repairs, customers may have low water pressure or no water.

Customers affected by the advisory are asked to bring tap water to a rolling boil and boil for one minute, or use bottled water for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth and preparing food. The boil advisory will be in effect for 48 hours.
