Boilermaker Charity Bib program to offer second chance for registration

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - There are 120 days until the 2013 Boilermaker and though the race closed out in January, there are still a few ways to get registered for the raise.

Boilermaker will be offering a charity bib program to support local non-profits, setting aside 200 bibs for organizations to use to entice participants to raise pledges. The bibs can be utilized for the 15k and 5k races as well as the 3 mile walk.

Boilermaker Executive Director Tim Reed says he has wanted to do something like this for years and says the top three people who raise the most money get an added bonus.

The goal is to raise $10,000+ for area charities.
