Boonville men accused of burglary in Town of Ava

(WKTV) - Two Boonville men faces charges in connection to a burglary in the Town of Ava, New York State Police said.

Robert J. Burke, 25, of the 1100 block of Kerber Road in Boonville, is charged with burglary in the second degree and unlawfully dealing with a child in the first degree.

Matthew J. Sinclair, 19, of the 200 block of East Schuyler Street in Boonville, is charged with burglary in the second degree and unlawful possession of alcohol by a person under 21 years of age.

According to authorities, a burglary complaint was filed on Wednesday on Kerber Road in the Town of Ava. A house was forcefully entered and a large-screen TV was stolen. The TV was recovered.

Burke is also accused of providing alcohol to Sinclair, who is under age 21.

The two were sent to Oneida County Jail on $20,000 bail. The Oneida County Sheriff's Office assisted in the investigation.
