Boonville students in need receive coats from United Way
BOONVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - Cold weather is beginning to set in, and that could be bad news for children whose parents can't afford coats.
On Monday, the United Way donated brand new coats to students at Boonville Elementary School who otherwise would not be able to afford them. Other organizations are also being contacted to make sure children throughout the area get coats, as well. "We're very happy that the coats are going to be given to our students so that they do have a warmer winter this year," said Boonville Elementary Principal Anne Christiano. "Hopefully it will help some of our parents that maybe are facing some financial issues." The United Way is working to increase its donors, and they say that even if you can only give a little, that still goes a long way. |
