Buck pleads guilty to manslaughter in father's death

(WKTV) - Michael Buck, who was accused of shooting and killing his father in his Middlefield home in September, pleaded guilty Wednesday to one charge of first-degree manslaughter, the Otsego County District Attorney's Office said.

Under the plea agreement, Buck will be sentenced to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced Aug. 4.

In the early-morning hours of Sept. 21, Buck shot his father, Joseph Buck, in the Middlefield home the two shared. Michael Buck was shot in the cheek during the incident. At the time, police said two handguns were involved.
