Budget agreement includes $51 million increase in Rome Lab funding

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - A federal budget agreement reached late Monday will include a $51 million increase in funding for the Air Force Research Laboratory in Rome, U.S. Rep. Richard Hanna said.

The House and Senate are expected to approve the $1.1 trillion funding bill this week and Pesident Obama is expected to sign it promptly. The spending agreement comes on the heels of a bipartisan budget deal struck in December.

Rome Lab will see an increase in funding by $51 million from fiscal year 2013, an increase of nearly 38 percent.
