Cabin Fever Kid Expo provides fun, teaches life lessons

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Kids from all across the region met on the MVCC campus, Sunday, for The Boy Scouts of America's 2nd Annual Cabin Fever Kid Expo.
The event is put on by the Revolutionary Trails Council, and is aimed at providing kids with a fun way to be introduced to the Cub Scouts.
Many different exciting attractions were present at the event, such as a climbing tower, archery range, and pinewood derby race car competitions.
"This gives kids an opportunity to learn about citizenship," said Council member, Paul Obernesser. "The scouting promotes leadership training fro older scouts, but it's a fun activity, a fun learning activity."

This year's event attracted over 300 people, and hopes to build on that even more next year.
