Camden teen drowns after boating on lake overnight

WILLIAMSTOWN, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Camden teen has drowned after his boat overturned in a lake, according to law enforcement officials.

17-year-old Nicholas Bastable, of Camden, was one of three people in a two-man paddle boat on Kasoag Lake, according to the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office. The call was reported to authorities just after 1am.

The two other occupants managed to swim to shore and escaped injury but Bastable was unable to do the same and could not be located in the water, officials say.
