VERONA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Canastota man was killed Friday in a one-car accident on State Route 31 in Verona, near Durhamville, according to New York State Police.
State Troopers say that 65-year-old Vincent Spadafora Jr., of Canastota, was driving east on Route 31, near the Route 46 intersection, when he drove off the side of the road, hitting a road marker and several trees before flipping the SUV.
The accident happened Friday morning just before 10:30.
Spadafora was found unresponsive at the wheel before he was sent to the Oneida Healthcare Emergency Room, where he was pronounced dead.
The police investigation is continuing.
