Candlelight vigil remembers fire victims

By ALLISON NORLIAN

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - A vigil held on Sunday night honored and remembered the three victims in the Osborn Road blaze in New Hartford.

Joshua Morinitti, Jordan Morinitti and Jennifer Moore lost their lives after police say, a faulty electrical appliance caused their home on Osborn Road to go up in flames.

Tons of family members, friends, neighbors and strangers attended a candle light vigil where they remembered the victims with song, prayer and comforting memories. Those who attended the vigil shared stories and fond memories of Moore, and both Morinitti boys.

Julianne Tirado grew up with Jennifer, " Jen was an amazing person, a good friend, real and loyal. She was the type of friend, you didn't have to talk to her everyday but when you called she would always answer and she was there for you. She was amazing."

Joanna Phillips was another friend of Moore's, " She was loving and caring person a great mother and you loved to be around her," Phillips said, "She opened up the room, brightened it up, she always had a smile on her face even when she wasn't so happy. She made you laugh when you were sad or angry and she loved her job and the people she took care of. She always came to work with a smile on her face."

Jasmin Moore said, " Joshua was a very smart young man. He cared about his grandmother, his aunt and his mother."

A neighbor has decided to raise funds for the family to help them through this devastating time. Donations can be given at this website.
