Candlelight vigil held for fire victims

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Friends and family of Leida Santiago and her three boys held a candlelight vigil Tuesday night in front of the family's home on Schuyler Street.

The sidewalks were overflowing with people holding candles in honor of Santiago and her three young boys who perished in a fire on Monday morning.

Friends and family are trying to grasp what happened. "You don't know, one moment your life is going to be one way and the next moment it's going to be another way, you're not going to understand why things happen, but this is how it is and things do happen in life and we just want people to know that they were loving people, she was a loving mother and we are just really heart broken over what's happened," says family member Linda Valentin.
