Car strikes house on Albany St. in apparent hit-and-run

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Residents of Albany St. received quite the scare when a car went off of the road and struck a home on the Utica street, Wednesday.

It appeared to be a hit-and-run situation, as the car hopped the curb and struck a house, destroying a portion of its porch, before taking off.

There were car parts, such as pieces of a bumper, scattered within the debris, however, no car was present on the scene.

The incident occurred at 1020 Albany St. at approximately 3:45 p.m.

We have reached out to Utica Police, however, the vehicle and driver identities are not currently known. We will provide more information as it is released.
