Case adjourned until April for Trooper accused of breaking into Utica home, assaulting homeowner

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A felony hearing for a New York State Trooper facing assault and criminal mischief charges has been adjourned.

Jesse Miller is accused of drunkenly kicking in the front door of a home on Beverly Place in south Utica in January while off-duty and injuring a person who lives inside the home. The person living in the home had just recently moved in to the residence.

Following the adjournment, Miller is now scheduled to return to Utica City Court on April 10.
