Central Valley Academy students spread cheer to senior citizens

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - Central Valley Academy Students delivered holiday cheer to senior citizens on Friday.

The 20 students in the student council delivered baskets to Mohawk and Ilion, the two communities that make up their now-merged school.

The baskets contained canned foods, snacks, activity books and more.

"With the merger going on, the student council decided to do something nice for the community," said Dave Appleton, student council adviser. "We wanted to recognize senior citizens and give them a cheer basket for the holidays."

The council is hoping to make the basket delivery an annual tradition.
