Children's Museums hosts the Festival of Trees and Lights

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Children's Museum in Downtown Utica held its "Festival of Trees and Lights," Saturday.

The family event took place over different floors of the museum, and included an auction and raffle to go along with a day of holiday, family fun.

There were even a couple of special visitors at the festival, as Santa and Mrs. Claus made appearances to meet the kids.

"That makes up for all the hard work, the smiles on the kids' faces," said Executive Director Marlene Brown. "It's a lot of work for my husband and I, but look at those faces over there, look at those kids."

The proceeds from today's event will be put towards building a planetarium at the museum.
