By WKTV News

(WKTV) - New York State is trying to lure more tourists here from China, and who better to help with that than Chinese tourism experts?

Some came to Utica's Radisson Hotel on Wednesday to help New York and its tourism-related businesses tap into the $102 billion Chinese tourism market. It's part of the "I Love New York" program's effort to expand into China.

"The companies that are here are responsible for approximately 80 percent of the business from China to America annually," said Markly Wilson of the New York State Division of Tourism. "And we selected them after confirming that they have an interest in increasing what they're offering to their clients."

According to a Brand USA Custom Study, New York State is one of the top states Chines travelers want to visit.
