Conviction upheld in the Wyman murder case

(WKTV) -  The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York has denied the appeal of Christian Patterson, upholding Patterson's April, 2012 conviction for the aggravated murder of Oneida County Sheriff's Deputy Kurt Wyman.

Patterson appealed, claiming ineffective counsel; that his attorney failed to move to suppress certain evidence seized from him and failed to pursue a justification defense.

A jury convicted Patterson of all five charges against him in the murder of Deputy Kurt Wyman. He was sentenced to life in prison.
