City of Rome saw plenty of damage in Tuesday storm

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - Oneida County received much of the destruction from Tuesday's storm, including the City of Rome.

Trees fell on power lines and homes and North George Street was hit hard.

Josh Hines says he was watching WKTV and realized the severity of the storm, so he began closing his windows. He heard a buzzing noise and looked outside to see a tree on his car, which was crushed.

"It was just kind of unbelievable," Hines said. "But really, in the scheme of things, it's not a big deal. It's just a car, and it's better no one got hurt in the storm."

Hines says the destruction around his own neighborhood is unbelievable.
