Cold front pushing rain and wind gusts; more power outages reported

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - A cold front is pushing rain and gusty winds across the state, knocking out power to 11,000 homes and businesses upstate, and thousands more in the New York City area.

Forecasters say temperatures will fall during the day. Lake effect snow is in the forecast tomorrow.

In Herkimer County more than 200 homes are without power.
National Grid crews are assessing the condition.

At last count, 400 homes were without power with an estimated time for restoration of 9 a.m.

In Madison County a handful of outages. Stockbridge Valley Central School is closed today due to a power outage.
