College students remember 9/11 from a child's perspective

By WKTV News

HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - At Herkimer County Community College, local students paused Tuesday to remember 9/11.

What's interesting? The students were only in second or third grade when the terrorist attacks happened.

The college president says it's important to reflect on the tragedy.

Dr. Anne Marie Murray, president of HCCC said, " It needs to be remembered, we live in an era where terror is on our minds all the time as result of this event."

She adds, " We need to remember the lives of those who were lost and more importantly the families that live with that lost day after day."

The college collected non-perishable foods items to donate to veterans.
