Color Vibe 5k brings bright shining smiles to Utica

By WKTV News

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - It was quite the colorful run as the Color Vibe 5k made its way to Utica for the first time, Saturday.
The Kelberman Center hosted the event, which is a run or walk, where throughout the course, you get blasted with paint at each station.
The runners become the canvass, and at the end there's a colorful dance party.
"It's awesome, people from all over the county were thrilled about this event and waiting to have a color run here," said Robert Myers, Executive Director of the Kelberman Center. "Hopefully it will get bigger and bigger and bigger every year."
The paint used in the run/walk is non-toxic, safe, biodegradable, and washes out of hair and skin easily.
