Community Food Bank of Greater Utica hands out 150 turkeys, still in need of donations

By WKTV News

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Community Food Bank of Greater Utica handed out upward of 150 turkeys Monday morning to families in need, but the need is so great this year, some people may have to wait.

The Food Bank is asking for more donations of turkeys, fixings, produce and bread.

The large turnout is partly because of the location of this year's turkey giveaway.

The temporary location is 230 James Street in Utica.

The City of Utica is allowing the food bank o use that location until its Bleecker Street location is ready to open.

You can make a donation any time between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Also, those in need can stop by the Community Food Bank of Utica temporary location to get food.
