Cooperstown Farmers Market now to offer cooking demonstrations

COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. - The Cooperstown Farmers Market is now offering cooking demonstrations on Saturdays by Culinary Institute of America graduate Christina Chiacchia, a partner in Gaia's Breath Farm.

Simple recipes and tasty samples are handed out using fresh ingredients from the market vendors. Demonstrations take place in the rear of the market from 9:30 to 10:30.

The market is operating at capacity with 32 vendors offering a cornucopia of local vegetables, fruits, meats and cheeses as well as maple syrup, honey, jams, baked goods and crafts.

New this week are cider at The Painted Goat stand and home made granola from Acrospire Farm. Eggplant, cabbage, brocolli, caulifllower, peppers, cucumbers, peaches and raspberries are all in and watch for corn to be coming soon!!

Driftwood will be entertaining this week for market shoppers listening enjoyment and tables and chairs are available for sitting and visiting with friends.

This is the last week to win Lunch for Four at the Blue Mingo Restaurant. Raffle - tickets are two dollars each or three for five - proceeds benefit the Market.
