Cooperstown man accused of stealing cash from employer

(WKTV) - A manager of a McDonald's in the Town of Hartwick is accused of stealing more than $7,000 from the restaurant, the Otsego County Sheriff's Office said.

Garrett Robert Johnson, 23, of Cooperstown, is charged with grand larceny in the third degree.

According to officials, a four-month investigation shows Johnson allegedly stole $7,272 in August from the resident. He is accused of failing to make several deposits in a local bank.

Johnson faces up to seven years in prison if he is convicted.
