EPHRATAH, N.Y. (WKTV) - A coroner has confirmed that the body found Wednesday is that of Frank Amerosa, the Utica man who was on board an Angel Flight with his wife when it crashed.

Fulton County Coroner Margaret Luck examined the body Thursday morning and made the confirmation.

The plane crashed May 24 in a reservoir in the Town of Ephratah.

64-year-old Amerosa, his wife Evelyn and the plane's pilot were flying from Bedford, Massachusetts to Rome on their way home.

The couple was flown out to a Boston area hospital as Mr. Amerosa was suffering from brain cancer.

The bodies of Mrs. Amersoa and the pilot, John Campbell of Connecticut, were recovered shortly after the plane crashed off of Route 29.

Mrs. Amerosa was a long-time employee of the Masonic Care Community in Utica. Mr. Amerosa was a retired truck driver.
