Crews battle brush fire on Bell Hill Road in Deerfield

DEERFIELD, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Deerfield Fire Department is on the scene of a grass fire on Bell Hill Road, a seasonal road not far from the television stations atop the hill.
Roughly one acre was reported on fire, and Deerfield was assisted by the Maynard Fire Department. Tankers from other departments also responded to the scene.
There were few flames visible, but there was a lot of smoke.
The no-burn rule is in effect until May 15 because of extremely dry conditions.
