Dick Miller basketball league in Utica in search of a new home

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A youth basketball league that has been keeping inner city kids in Utica busy and active for more than 25 years wants to continue to do that, but now they need a new home.

The Dick Miller League can't use Utica Schools as much as they used to and as much as they need to. So now they're appealing to the public for help finding a place to practice, and maybe play.

"We are looking for the community to actually, you know, knock on some church doors, maybe they have an affiliation with the church because there are a lot of churches in the City of Utica that have gym space, so, not just churches but community organizations as well," said Sean Brown of the Utica City Youth Bureau.

If you know of any places will available court time, you are asked to call the City Youth Bureau at 315-223-4320.
