Distance Running Hall of Fame races in honor of Boston victims

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - More than 400 runners turned out Sunday morning for the National Distance Running Hall of Fame Race in Utica.

This year's race was dedicated to the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

For some, the annual 5K and half marathon races are part of Boilermaker training exercises.

5K Winners
Male: Nicholas Ashton, age 16 of Whitesboro 17:31
Female: Tressa LaBella, age 23 of Frankfort 22:16

Half Marathon Winners
Male: Joseph Smith, age 32 of Camillus 1:18:02
Female: Christine McGlynn, age 39 of Whitesboro 1:33:48
