By WKTV News

(WKTV) - Nearly 24 hours after the initial report, a portion of Leland Avenue in North Utica is still closed as dive crews search for a vehicle that may have gone through the ice in the Mohawk River.

Witnesses reported they saw taillights in the water, but so far, no vehicle has been located.

Dive teams from the Oneida County Sheriff's Office and the Oriskany Fire Department are on the scene, as well as Utica police.

The search was called off around midnight Tuesday and resumed at 8 a.m.
